This is a knife bayonet manufactured in 1895 and used to about 1912. These were manufactured almost exclusively by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum and Company of Solingen, Germany and were made to fit the Chilean 7mm Mauser of the same year designation. They are well made and can be easily used as a functional knife.
Single-edged, quality blade, blade ricasso displays the Chilean crest, as well as a symbol of three intertwining circles; wood grips, held on by two rivets.
All-metal "blued" scabbard, with oval button frog stud.
