Question: I just received my restricted PAL and want to have my own handgun to build up my shooting skill before joining the police. Would my purchase be approved?
Answer: You need to contact the CFC 1-800-731-4000 and get approval. A sure way to have your own handgun to practice is to contact your local business shooting ranges and have them to purchase from us. With proper arrangement, you can have a handgun that is setup for yourself. You can shoot your own ammo in that pistol instead of range ammo, saving more money. Later if the law changes, the business can transfer it back to you.
This arrangement can be applied to target; PPC: IPSC; IDPA etc who want to have their own handguns in the shooting ranges that hold Business Firearm Licence.
